Croatia’s historic victory over England in the semi-final of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2018 was celebrated by the country’s president, who made headline last week with her presence.
Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, who was elected as the president of the country in 2015, and at this World Cup, her presence and support to the national football team has won several hearts.
It has already been reported that Grabar-Kitarovic took a chartered airplane to Russia from her home land and travelled in economy class alongside other fans.
Last week, when Croatia prevailed over Russia in a tense quarter-final which was decided on the last kick of the penalty shoot out, Grabar-Kitarovic visited the dressing room to celebrate with the players.

On Wednesday, with Croatian players — led by Luca Modric — defeating England to make it to the final of a World Cup first time ever, Grabar-Kitarovic could not help but join the celebrations.
The Croatian president shared videos on Wednesday night, wherein she can be seen walking up to each and every player to hug him after they defeated England 2-1.
She also had a few words with Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic and captain Modric.
Croatia will take on France in the World Cup final on Sunday night in Moscow.
