The Carson City School District will host a community meeting focused on its Strategic Plan and equity in education Wednesday, Feb. 24, 6:00-7:30 p.m., via Zoom.
The meeting will provide parents and families with an opportunity for input through a variety of breakout sessions focused on infusing equity statements into the following topics:
Exceptional Staff – Jose DelfinCurriculum that Matters – Tasha Fuson
Parent and Family Engagement – Dan Davis
Healthy Generations of Students – Andrew Feuling
The Community in Full Partnership – Richard Stokes
Since the meeting is limited to 200 participants, those interested in attending remotely will need to preregister through an online form. Once registered, participants will be emailed the Zoom link and password. Individuals planning to attend are welcome to share this invitation with colleagues, friends and neighbors who may also be interested.
The school district holds Community PLCs (Professional Learning Community) once each quarter during the school year. The purpose of these quarterly meetings with school officials is to accumulate feedback from community members on how the school district’s strategic plan is performing and suggest ideas and systems to better help meet the goals, objectives and strategies of the district’s plan. This quarter's Community PLC will focus on CCSD’s Strategic Plan and equity in education.
